About Shanghai

Shanghai is located at the frontier of the Yangtze River delta, bordering the East China ea in the east, Hangzhou bay in the south, Hiangsu and Zhejiang provinces in the west, and the estuary of the Yangtze river in the north. Shanghai is one of the four municipalities directly under the central government of China, and the other three are Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing. It is the largest city in China, one of the world's largest cities, and the largest commercial and financial center in China.

In Song Dynasty, first it was founded as a town, called Shanghai. Shanghai, as a city, was founded in the early Yuan Dynasty. By the 16th Century, Shanghai had become the center of the national cotton textile and handicraft industry. In the middle of the 19th century, Shanghai had become a prosperous port for merchants. Today, Shanghai has become an important international port city in the western Pacific. Shanghai is China's famous "shopping paradise" only second to Hong Kong. China's No. 1 commercial street Nanjing road, the bustling and elegant Huaihai Road is also known as the national commercial street; Zhengda square and Ganghui square are huge in scale; Henglong plaza, the United States department store gathered top brands, fashion goods, public supplies, etc. There are Clothing, woolen, leather shoes, cosmetics, children's toys, gold and silver jewelry, a variety of traditional crafts, food…with design and color variety. Shanghai is the largest base of industrial science and technology in China, with more than 800 research institutions, 550,000 scientific and technological personnel, and more than 50 full-time institutions of higher learning, one of which is Shanghai Jiaotong University with a history of more than 100 years.

Shanghai is also a popular tourist destination at home and abroad. The main attractions include the bund, Chenghuang Temple, Oriental Pearl, Yuyuan Garden, Nanjing road pedestrian street, Shanghai Disney Resort and so on.

Tianjin Attractions

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower  东方明珠电视塔

Adjacent to the Huangpu River and across from the bund, it is one of Shanghai's iconic cultural landscapes.

It is one of the first 5A tourist attractions in China, integrating urban sightseeing, fashion catering, shopping and entertainment, historical display, Huangpu River tour and exhibition performance.

It is 468 meters high, with 11 spheres connected in series from top to bottom. Located in a 267-meter sphere, the revolving restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy the night view of Shanghai at 360°suspended sightseeing gallery at 259 meters. The passage is made of steel structure with glass floor and wall, overlooking the Huangpu River and Lujiazui.

The Bund 外滩

Located by the Huangpu River in the Huangpu district of central Shanghai, it is one of the most symbolic attractions of Shanghai city.

It is 1.5 km long from south to north, with the wide middle Shandong road on the left, lined with dozens of foreign buildings of different styles.

It is close to the Huangpu River, the mother river of Shanghai, on which giant ships shuttle, while on the other side of the river stand skyscrapers such as Financial and Trade Zone and the World Financial Center.

At night, the neon lights on both sides of the Huangpu River are in full bloom, suitable for strolling in the bund with your lover and experiencing the charm and romance of "the city that never sleeps".

Yu garden 豫园

Yu garden belongs to a general name, divided into the need to purchase tickets to enter the garden part and the peripheral part.

Known for its reputation of "urban mountains and forests" and its reputation of "a wonder in the southeast", it is honored as one of the five classical gardens in Shanghai.

There are stele and stele inscriptions by famous artists, as well as iconic scenic spots such as Yulinglong, Dianchun hall, Yuhuatang and Wanhua Lou.

There are many shops and food stalls in old Chenghuangmiao district outside, so you can enjoy the food while strolling.


Chenghuang Temple 城隍庙

Shanghai Chenghuang Temple is located in the most prosperous and famous Yu garden scenic spot in Shanghai. It is an important Taoist temple in Shanghai. It is one of the three famous temples on the Yangtze River.

It is served by famous ministers and heroes who have made contributions to local people.

The legend of Shanghai Chenghuang Temple is built by Sun Hao, the Lord of The Three Kingdoms.

Shanghai Chenghuang Temple building is a large southern architecture with red walls and clay tile, the main temple building composed by the Temple Square, Main Hall, Yuan Chen Hall, wealth Hall, Cihang Hall, Chenghuang Hall, Goddess Hall.

Nanjing Road 南京路步行街

One of the ten famous pedestrian streets in China, it is the first commercial street established in Shanghai after its opening.

This is the gathering place of department stores, with a full range of goods and a paradise for shoppers.

Creative urban sculptures can be seen everywhere. There are plenty of chairs in the middle of the street for tourists to sit on.

On Nanjing Road, you can see like a smaller version of old trolley dang dang car shuttle service, is the smell of old Shanghai, might as well try.


Shanghai Disney Resort 上海迪士尼度假区

Shanghai Disneyland is the first Disney theme park on the Chinese mainland. Welcome to an amazing world we've never seen before.

The park is divided into Mickey street, Fantasy garden, Dreamworld, Adventure island, Treasure bay, Tomorrowland and seven theme parks of Disney/Pixar toy story.

The park has the world's largest Disney castle "fantasy fairytale castle", where visitors can interact with many Disney friends and experience a unique immersive experience.
